i don't know how to describe this "hike." it was more like a death march up some mountain road. no way would this go over in america; some of these kids are only in fourth grade and we probably walked some 10 miles that day, up a wicked steep mountain at that. this is where we stopped for lunch. you can see exhaustion on some of the faces if you look closely. my favorite is the little guy up front and center; he's two minutes from passing out.
