and then, off to malaysia!!! a lot of the JETS made it around the world, megan, kim and i decided to head for malaysia to check out the penninsular side of the country. it was just a taste, but it was fantastic. the country is a mix of malays, muslims, indians and chinese; the country is thriving due to an abundance in oil and the tourism industry making for a great mix of the old and new. here we see kuala lumpur, and although you wouldn't know it from this pic, tons of the traditional temples and buildings still find their place among the steel and concrete of the modern era. oh, and by the way, these two photos are taken from the deck of megan's relatives, chiew and minna: two of the nicest, smartest, funniest, most interesting people i've ever met. thanks again to you both for your unmatched hospitality.
