and now for the biggest news of the last month! after two years of hiking and writing, the book is officially done and printed! yesterday i received an advanced copy in the mail. come april, the book will be ready for the public and in stores. i'm heading home in may for some promotional work and now that i can hold the think in my hands, i'm chomping at the bit.

thanks you guys. ellen, we had one publisher back out on us early on; we then flooded some fifty different publishers with the idea until the mountaineers bit. you've got the pics, now just saturate the market with them.
alex, yeah it's really cool to see friends and family in there. on the picture i posted, they even put my dog's name, ivy, in the caption!
i've never ordered a book from amazon before in which i personally know the author. you're a rock star...i mean, writer. so cool. and just wait, the day will come when all the guch JETs or your japanese co-workers show up in colorado, book in hand, to hike your trails. :)
